After having formed and ran DPV Quantity Surveyors & Project Managers some 22 years ago with his partner, as a majority share holder, Sakhumzi Diko then formed DPV CONSULTING.
The Firm boasts a national footprint with offices in Durban, Johannesburg, East London.
The Director is a qualified and Professional Quantity Surveyor, registered with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession a member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors and also a member of South African Black Allied and Technical Careers Organisation.
Ownership is 100% HDI, with an experience of over 25 years in the building and construction industry.
The BBBEE status is Level 1 .

Biography of Sakhumzi Diko
Sakhumzi has gathered practical experience in Quantity Surveying after extensive spells of work in the Eastern Cape, Gauteng and KZN. For more than 25 years he has been involved with various private clients, government departments and State Owned Entities. Mostly focusing on programmes in Health, Education, Public Works. In the Private Sector focusing on residential, industrial and projects nationally.
Sakhumzi is the sole director of DPV CONSULTING since its establishment. He is a corporate member of SABTACO and a member of SAIBPP and holds a National Diploma in Building, a Bachelor of Technology degree in Quantity Surveying and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA) from UCT and a Masters of Management in Entrepreneurship from WITS.
He is also a member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (Reg. No 4182) and is registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with the Council for South African Quantity Surveyors (Reg. No 3032) and is also an accredited mentor for Emerging Contractors with the University of the Free State. His passion is assisting SMME’s and is also a Business Coach.

DPV proudly subscribes to SAIBPP (South African Institute for Black Property Practitioners) and SABTACO (South African Black Technical and Allied Careers Organisation). The practice is also registered as a member of the South African Black Technical and Allied Careers Organisation (SABTACO).

Skills Development Plan and Achievements Students and graduates are taken into the corporation to obtain experience and receive mentorship to enable them to complete their studies. Staff members have attended WIN QS and computer training courses.
A number of DPV’s ex-employees are now employed in senior professional positions in other organisations and Departments. DPV is also in the forefront in the secondment of government staff to the Private Sector in order to upskill them.
